Intermediate Linux with Korn and Bash Shell Scripting

This course teaches shell scripting for the Korn shell and the Bash shell. The student can focus on a specific Shell in class, or switch between the two shells. Typical Unix commands used in shell scripting will be presented along with programming concepts used in writing scripts (branching, loops, variables, quoting, sub-shells, debugging, and trapping signals). The stream editor sed is also covered with an introduction to basic regular expressions.
